At CAPANNORI motorway exit: If you come by the highway from FIRENZE, you must exit in CAPANNORI and follow the direction for Romana street (sp 23) for 1.5 km. until you arrive at a roundabout, where you must take the direction for LUCCA for another 7 km., before road-sign in LUCCA, you will see on the left "B&B LE GIARE ".

From airport GALILEO GALILEI (PISA): take the A12 motorway from PISA NORD, take the A11 motorway to FIRENZE for about 30 Km. and leave at LUCCA EST exit.
At LUCCA EST motorway exit: if you come by the highway from GENOVA you must exit in LUCCA EST than take the direction for LUCCA (avenue Europa), to the roundabout on the right, to the station.
From LUCCA station: turn right (avenue G. Giusti) and at the second traffic light turn right again. At the first roundabout turn left and then take the first street on your right (Romana street) about 1116 mt. , on the left, you'll find "B&B LE GIARE "

Lucca
is in a prime position for day trips to other historical
cities such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, S. Gemignano or
Volterra. It is only 20 minutes from the coast Versilia
and half an hour from Garfagnana. You can take a short
trip to Montecatini Terme and enjoy the thermal facilities
offered. Lucca still has its superb XVI C. city walls
which protectingly encircle
it; monuments, squares, fountains, museums; its medieval
town center is mainly pedestrian. There are a lot of
delicatessen shops offering a variety of wines, handmade
and local food products. The antiques market is on the
3rd weekend of each month. |
